About

I’m a British-Filipino-Chinese Multimedia Journalist and Writer based in London, United Kingdom. I’m currently a Social Media Journalist at Technicolor, where I write about films and visual effects, produce podcasts, and run social media channels. I previously worked for the digital newsrooms of CNN International and Rappler (in Manila, Philippines) and was a Copy Editor for Culture Trip.

I have seven years of experience in online journalism, copy editing, and social media. I’m a versatile writer with a knack for mobile journalism and on-camera reporting as well as social media journalism and research.

I have written about a wide range of topics, including culture, sports, feminism, social issues, politics, and the environment. I’m also most interested in the human stories at the intersections of culture and social issues, particularly gender, race, and ethnicity; ways of tackling the climate crisis; migration and globalisation of cultures; digital rights; the realisation and negotiation of selfhood; and the human condition in the age of the Internet.

I hold an MA in Multimedia Journalism (Distinction) from the University of Westminster, where I was a University Scholar. My dissertation, ‘Covering climate change: How solutions journalism articles tackling climate change are framed on The Guardian‘, also received a Distinction. I was a recipient of the 2017 British Council IELTS Prize.

Beyond journalism, I like to read and take great pleasure in going to music gigs and the theatre.
